Pre-production & rehearsals are going really well. Really happy with most of the songs. Some still need work but some won't make it to the album. It's hard to believe but most songs I write you'll never hear.

NAMM Was A Blast
After wandering around the huge floor at the Anaheim Convention Center for the morning, I managed to make some great connections and meetings with some reputable companies that I will be working with. Met some legends and played with some really cool new instruments. Highlight - the Taylor room. Soooooo hot!
Ran into my friends Brandon Rogers, known best from American Idol and Stefan Demaria from Feel Good, LA's best funk band.

Run For Autism Awareness - A Great Success!
On Sept 19th, 2009, Brandon James and April Matson co-hosted and performed at the Annual Boise Run/Walk for Autism Awareness, sponsored by the Autism Society of America (ASA).
The event was a great success and they're already looking to grow it further next year.

Brandon James to Co-Host & Perform at Autism Awareness Run In Boise, Idaho on Sept 19th, 2009
For the 2nd year in a row, April Matson an actress best know for her role as Lori Trager on the International hit television series, Kyle XY, and Brandon James a performer, songwriter and producer who performs regularly in renowned Los Angeles area clubs including, Whisky A-Go-Go, Rainbow Bar, The Mint, and Gypsy Lounge will co-host and perform at the Run/Walk For Autism Awareness, sponsored by the Autism Society of America, at Veteran's Memorial Park in Boise, Idaho on Sept 19th, 2009 at 9am.. Last year April and Brandon co-wrote and performed Meet Me Halfway which was inspired by Aprils nephew, Nicholas, who has autism. Last years performance of Meet Me Halfway can be viewed below. Brandon will be performing this song again at this years event and many more songs by April Matson and Brandon James!! The money raised at this event stays here in Idaho to help continue our mission of raising awareness, providing support and education to individuals, their families and the community
Funds raised from last year was used to provide support and education to individuals including scholarships for local conferences, costs associated with monthly support group meetings and participation in the Treasure Valley Resource Fair. We were also able to hold our annual Discovery Center night where we provided free food and admission for individuals with autism and their families. Additionally, the ASATVC sponsored 4 teens to attend Summer Adventure Camp at the Intermountain Center for Autism & Child Development (click here for further detail). Lastly, funds raised through last year's event supported various administrative costs, including our message phone, website, mailings, awareness gear, promotional flyers and other materials used to support our goals of raising autism awareness and education to individuals, their families and the community.
This year we have added a walk-a-thon to the event. This is a great way for kids to participate in fundraising and awareness. Great prizes will be given to the top fundraisers. Independent Music & Film Marketing Expert Tim Sweeney Features Brandon James On Exclusive Compilation CD!!
Tim Sweeney, of Tim Sweeney & Associates, chose to feature Brandon James' song, No Intentions, on his newest exclusive music CD compilation slated to be given out to film directors and producers at the Sundance Film Festival and the Wild & Scenic Film Festival. Brandon James' song was chosen to be a part of an exclusive group of artists, narrowed down from over 1200 submissions, that will be on a CD that Tim will be providing to his audiences at these prestigious festivals. So for some strange reason, two of my songs got mixed up in the uploading onto iTunes. When you clicked on "Easy Come Easy Go" and "Beautiful Sky," all you heard was "Easy Come Easy Go"... :( So Tunecore was nice enough to wave my fee to have it taken down, but I've got to reupload the whole thing again... crap!

A year after Brandon James first made a splash in Los Angeles by releasing his first self-titled EP, 'Brandon James,' Brandon is excited to announce that he is heading back into the studio to record his first ever full length album. The title has yet to be revealed but be sure to stay tuned!

"Intense, Indefinable, Inspiring...Immerse yourself", words used to describe Brandon James. An accomplished vocalist, guitarist and lyricist, he is now appearing at top LA clubs and venues, soon to tour internationally as he continues his journey; sharing his enduring message. As he prepares for his place, standing shoulder to shoulder with a new generation of country legends, Brandon embraces a variety of music genres from spiritual inspirations to pop to create his own unique country sound described as "west coast country". Classically trained at an early age and independently producing albums since the age of 15, he continues to pursue his passion.
In November 2006, Brandon James headed to Los Angeles from his native Toronto, Canada, his journey feeding his fire. By the fall of 2007, with the idea of diversifying his musical genre, Brandon had recorded and debuted his first Los Angeles EP, “Souls On Fire”. His album has been headlined at such prestigious musical venues as: Whisky A Go-Go , Rainbow Bar, The Mint, Gypsy Lounge, and Dakota Live Music Lounge (formerly Temple Bar ).
His emotional ballad, “No Intentions” is part of the soundtrack of the 2008 independent thriller, Detached , and all songs from his EP were showcased in the Toronto theatre production of Looking Through The Window.
Brandon has collaborated on many songs with his current songwriting partner, April Matson, star of ABC Family’s Kyle XY and FOX’s Quintuplets . Their first collaboration “Right In Front Of Me” premiered during the Season 2 finale of Kyle XY . Then, in the spring of 2008, Brandon co-wrote and co-produced April’s
internationally acclaimed debut album, “Pieces of My Heart”.
Brandon James continues to astound his fans with his ever-evolving style and the beautiful raw emotion of his voice and lyrics. Moments, memories and Brandon’s ability to tell his stories through his music, both inspire and evoke emotion.
Brandon is currently in Los Angeles busy in preproduction for his debut country full length album release due out in 2010.
THE BAND
Having played the fiddle for 22 years, Eliza James has performed at many major concerts including The Grammy Awards (2008) and has been a featured performer with many artists including Burt Bacharach & Randy Travis.
Dirkston “Sumo” Sommers is a true showman, fusing his love for country and pop with the gospel and blues he grew up with in Tyler, Texas. His big natural flair and showmanship are marquee as the Musical Director of this band.
A versatile guitarist,Yoni brings his own signature touch to the Brandon James sound. “A man whose soul lives on the tips of his fingers, he is the most musical guitarist I’ve ever heard." ~ B James.
Home grown in Napa Valley, California, Austin Underhill takes his soulful playing & combines it with his love of the West Coast music. Quickly earning him the nickname, "Tasty Goods" Underhill.
